Last night, Chicago’s the Chainlink hosted a discussion led by Dottie of Let’s Go Ride a Bike about how to choose bikes, accessories and apparel to make riding in your everyday clothes easy and fun to do. She gave Po Campo a nice shout-out which was great, but even better is being included in so many of her photos.
As someone who has been riding regularly for over 10 years, I feel like I have a good handle on how to get around town on a bike in my normal clothes. However, I still like to go to these events because I always learn something new. Last night’s lesson was the value of shoe liners to minimize sweaty feet when biking in summer in flats. A-ha! That is a problem I have but won’t much longer!
If you missed the discussion but want to learn some more tips, I suggest checking out the How-To section on her blog, which is full of practical ideas on how to bike in just about anything.
John Greenfield of GRID Chicago also posted a good write-up of this event.
